Here’s a look at something different.  When not shooting weddings, Michael occasionally does commercial photography.   One of the companies Michael does work for is Independent Bath Products, an awesome renovation company in Edmonton.  They do incredible custom bathrooms, and whole home renovations.  Here’s a sampling of some of Michael’s work.

This cute mama-to-be is due any minute now, by the time I took these photos she had about a week to go.  Spring is coming, and so is her new baby.  Her new house was the perfect location for some pre-baby photos.  We can’t wait to see the little one, congratulations!

Michelle liked the perspective of this one, because this is the view that she has of her belly.

The snow is starting to disappear, and weather is warming up! No jacket required for this shoot.

As part of the Pay It Forward movement, we had the pleasure of meeting with Sherri and her family for family photos.  Sherri is a local photographer, you can visit her site here.  I encourage all of you photographers out there to get your photos taken, don’t forget to document your own family while you spend so much time documenting the lives of other people.

It was a fun afternoon of brownies, and a very short game of Twister.  Thank you for welcoming us into your home!  We hope you enjoy your canvas print.

Just before Christmas, we moved somewhere much better suited for our growing business.  We moved into a gorgeous home in Terwillegar Gardens!

Here is the entry way.

Just to the left of the entry is a private room for our client meetings.  We love having a home-based business, but wanted an area for our clients to feel welcome but not right in our kitchen.  This house has the perfect layout for that.

The beautiful flower arrangement is by All About Flowers.

Here’s our office, Haley working away!  Yes, the photo is deceptive, it’s not usually that tidy ;)

We have a great big open living room that we’ve used for baby photos, and will be using for the Ben Chrisman workshop we’re hosting.

We love the new space, and we hope you love it too!

A really cool thing is happening.  Haley took a photo in 2007 of Megan and Tyler making snow angels on Pigeon Lake at their wedding.  Awesome photo, right?

Well, people from all around the world seem to think so too.  Here is a sampling of the wedding planners and brides that we know of who have been inspired by and blogged about Megan and Tyler’s wedding, and the snow angel photo in particular.  We’ve been on blogs from Canada, the US, Australia, and even Italy!

Our beautiful assistant Christy has a baby on the way!  She is due any day now, and we can’t wait to meet her little boy or girl.

Christy’s daughter Lilly joined in on the shoot – she’s hoping for a baby sister!  Judging by Lilly and her mommy, we know the new baby is going to be beautiful.

Christy is getting ready for the little one to arrive, the closet is packed with gender-neutral clothes, and the bassinet is just waiting….

Beautiful light was streaming in through a window in Christy’s house – these are two of my favourite photos from the shoot.

This adorable little girl visited our studio for her first photo shoot.  I can’t get over her big, beautiful eyes, she looks like a little doll.

I love the bubbles.

Props are a great idea for any baby shoot. A fun cuddly animal, or baby’s favourite toy.

Everything with babies is real, even when they are SO done with the photo shoot.  Thank you, Paige, for cooperating so long!

I had a gorgeous mama-to-be visit us for a prenatal session, this lovely lady is due in June, and we look forward to more maternity photos and some beautiful baby pictures!

We were privileged to be asked to speak at the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC) class in Edmonton recently.

We spent an hour talking to newly certified wedding planners about why we love wedding photography, and how best we can work together to help our brides have gorgeous, perfect, stress-free weddings.  We love goodies, and we prepared fun gift bags for the class members.  We even gave out prizes!  We love prizes.  It was great to talk about what we do, and we want to thank Tracey and Danielle for asking us to speak.  A big shout out goes to Stephanie Cragg for introducing us to WPIC.  We look forward to working with WPIC-certified wedding planners in the future!  If you are a wedding planner interested in what we can offer your clients, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  You might even end up with a gift bag…..

Zen and Tony are expecting their little one very soon, and we can’t wait to meet him or her. They’re getting their home ready and enjoying their last few moments as a twosome. Congratulations!
