We have very fond memories of Amanda & Foster’s spring wedding last year, and now we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming the latest addition to their family!

I met up with Amanda & Foster in St. Albert for maternity photos before little Corbin’s arrival.

Little Corbin arrived a few weeks early, a big surprise for mom and dad! He was so teeny in my arms, but already has a big personality. I’ve enjoyed visiting with him, and will be happy to watch him grow.

Michael continues to work with teens who have recently had their braces removed. Check out these brand new smiles, courtesy of Dr. Miles at the Smile Spot!

These two are SO cute, and I don’t think they’d mind me saying it. I had a really enjoyable time with them grabbing a coffee and wandering around in the woods.

Jacquie & Justin met while working at Starbucks, and then discovered that they lived on the same street! Including Starbucks in their engagement photos was a must. (Justin actually proposed at Machu Picchu but we couldn’t quite squeeze in a visit there…)

The river valley near the Starbucks was perfect for a warm fall afternoon shoot.

Special thanks to Jacquie on this one for adjusting my flash for me – I was in a rather awkward position up the hill, and she was much closer to it…

Jacquie is a very busy lady – not only is she planning her June 2012 wedding, she’s also running the campaign for  Sue Huff running in Edmonton-Glenora!  I’m really looking forward to celebrating with her and Justin next year.

We really enjoyed meeting Astrid and her family. Astrid is an accomplished local makeup artist, and we updated her headshots at the same time as updating her family photos this fall. You can check out her website and work here!  It’s always so awesome to see our work on our client’s facebook pages and websites.

When Sofia’s mom first contacted us, Sofia wasn’t going to come into the world for quite some time and I was waiting for her visit to the studio for a few months!  As a note to all the moms out there interested in newborn photos, the sooner you can contact me the better (preferably before the baby arrives), and that way I can be prepared to greet your little one and give you some tips and advice to prepare you for the portrait session.

Sofia was a gem, I had a wonderful time snuggling with her.  Mom made her sweet fall headband herself!  Thank you three for making the drive up from Sylvan Lake to see me.

I love this image. I really enjoy seeing siblings so happy together, and I hope that our kids will be so happy with each other as they grow up!

The Neppers are the lucky winners of a contest that we held a while back and came to us for a long-anticipated updated family photo.

Hold on to your hats, fans, we have a lot of blog posts coming your way! We have a few families, a couple of new snuggly babies, some awesome teens, and a wedding. We’ve been super busy!! Not to mention a big project on the way, it’s something I’ve created specific to Edmonton brides and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

In the meantime, meet the Bodnarchucks! Michael used to work with Ryan, and we’re shooting Kristen’s sister’s wedding next year. We had a wonderful dinner with them after their shoot and thanks to Kristen now have a go-to salad recipe for entertaining.

Gail & Dennis called us on a Tuesday for their wedding on….Friday.  When I chatted with Gail about their wedding plans, their wedding sounded so sweet. She had a birthday party coming up on the weekend with all of her family and friends coming into town, and since everyone was going to be celebrating with them, they were going to cap it all off with a wedding!  It just goes to show that everyone can have the wedding of their dreams, and that every wedding is completely different.

This is a simple portrait of the happy couple, but there’s something timeless about traditional portraiture. Their family will cherish these images for generations.

Congratulations Gail & Dennis!

As ‘wedding season’ winds down, photographers across the city are starting to schedule social events, spring cleaning, and everything that we put off during the busy summer.  In theory.  Some of us have weddings right into December, so ‘wedding season’ has a rather loose definition.  As fall descends on Edmonton, the weather starts to really challenge us, and we truly appreciate all of our couples who bear with us and let us work our magic.  Kim & Dan are TROOPERS.  It rained on us all during their portraits, and they worked through us saying ‘just one more!’ about 20 times.  Thanks guys!  It was totally worth it!
