Nav & Raj are tying the knot on one of the most in-demand weekends this year – August long weekend. They were really fun to work with, they look amazing, and Michael can’t wait for their wedding!

We met Neha & Sumit a few years ago when they were celebrating their wedding.  We were delighted when Neha emailed and said they were expecting a new addition to the family, and wanted family photos in Vancouver!  We were happy to travel to visit with them, it was great to catch up and meet little Parth.  As it happens, Neha’s brothers were visiting so it was perfect timing!

Spring happens a little earlier in Vancouver than it does in Edmonton – these were taken back in April when Edmonton was still under a dusting of snow.  We liked being there in the spring, and we’ve got a special announcement coming up for April/May 2013 so watch the blog for that shortly. Maybe even today if I’m really productive ;)

This little sweetheart was all smiles for me.  I loved having her back in the studio.

I’m usually fairly good about keeping the blog up to date. In the last couple of months, I have fallen woefully behind.  There’s a good reason! Two actually.  First, we’ve been travelling like mad. Since November we’ve been to Italy, Phoenix (twice), Victoria-Vancouver-Calgary (roadtrip), Hawaii, and New York. And I went to Las Vegas.  So it’s been a bit of a crazy time!  I’m in no way complaining. We love travelling so much, with and also without the kiddos.  It’s a great way to open our eyes to different things in the world, and refresh us for our shoots with our clients. But…it means I don’t update the blog as often.  Also, those of you close to us will know that we recently welcomed a live-in nanny into our home!  As the kiddos are getting busy, and Shandro Photo gets busier, we realized that we needed some help. It’s been a long process, but she finally arrived this week, and now I have <gasp> uninterrupted time at the computer!  Just in time for wedding season.  So expect a lot more action on this blog in the next little while.

First up is little baby Sophie.  She’s the reason for the Calgary stop on our Victoria-Vancouver-Calgary roadtrip.  She is a darling girl, and we’re so excited for her parents that she arrived healthy and beautiful.  I love newborn photography so very much!

We traveled all the way to Victoria, BC to meet baby Casey.  This little sweetheart was snuggled in his mom’s arms when we met him, and it was easy to see how much she loves him.  Casey’s dad had a lively discussion with Michael about politics and economics during the shoot, and I can guarantee that little Casey is going to learn a lot about the world from his parents.  Welcome little Casey! It was a pleasure to meet you.
