We first met Ines and her husband at Carrie & Nick’s wedding - we were seated at the same table and hit it off, chatting about our children (our little Andrew, and her daughter Naia). I remarked at what an amazingly beautiful pregnant woman she was, and passed her a card for Shandro Kids. We hand out a lot of business cards, and I’m excited to see the ones that come back to us. We were delighted when Ines booked our Mini Steps program and can’t wait to introduce you to her little one in 2010!
Ritu & Amit are friends of Renu & Garry’s (awesome clients from earlier this year) and we were delighted when they contacted us about maternity photos! Really soon they are going to find out if they are welcoming a little boy or a little girl. These pictures are in the nursery for when he or she arrives.
Congratulations! We can’t wait to meet your little one. It’s going to be one good looking baby!
Yay! Twins! Natasha & Glenn are expecting two bundles of joy. We stopped in to Fuss Cupcakes on Whyte Ave for some appropriately frosted treats (they are having a boy and a girl). Yummy!

This session is so special to me – my incredibly beautiful sister-in-law is going to have a baby! She and her huband Brock came over for an amazing photo shoot in our studio. I’ve seen a few bellies, and I think that Alaina’s might just be the most perfect one I’ve seen. These two look like models, and I think that baby is going to be darn good looking.
I’ve been wanting to do this shot for a while now.

I’m tempted to say that today was one of my favourite shoots ever. The light was delicious and soft and perfect. Dawn and Dan are so connected and so carefree, which made the shoot a breeze. We spent an hour exploring some cool spots at the University of Alberta campus, and celebrating Dawn’s beautiful belly.

This is a very special day for me, my first Mother’s Day. We are so lucky to have our son, and have enjoyed being parents so much over the last 8.5 months.
What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than with a beautiful Mom gracing our blog! Krista is one of Michael’s sisters, already Mom to Brody, with a little baby girl on the way in less than 2 weeks. Michael’s other sister Alaina is also expecting, and you’ll see her on the blog soon.

Lenore’s little one will have arrived by the time this post is published – I spent some time with her and her husband just a couple of weeks before her due date. They had just moved into their new house, but it was already set up to welcome their daughter.
These are great blocks – they are even the Shandro Kids colours.

It’s here, it’s here! The big announcement! We are excited and proud today to launch Shandro Kids, an itsy-bitsy division of Shandro Photo. Shandro Kids is a project that began with the arrival of our beautiful son, and a desire to explore different kinds of photography.
Shando Kids, simply put, is fun, real photography of everything to do with kids: maternity, newborns, babies, toddlers, young kids, and families containing any of those little people!
All of the details are on our brand-spankin’ new website www.shandrokids.com.
We LOVE giveaways, and rewarding our clients, so we have a few really awesome things to announce with the launch of Shandro Kids!
Cool thing #1: 5% of all Shandro Kids profits in our first year will be donated to the Stollery Children’s Hospital. We were blessed with a beautiful and healthy boy, and we want to do our part for those who need a little extra help.

This cute mama-to-be is due any minute now, by the time I took these photos she had about a week to go. Spring is coming, and so is her new baby. Her new house was the perfect location for some pre-baby photos. We can’t wait to see the little one, congratulations!

Our beautiful assistant Christy has a baby on the way! She is due any day now, and we can’t wait to meet her little boy or girl.
