March 8, 2013Little Kaira joins big sister Ava, and I’m sure the two will be wonderful friends. I want to extend our warmest congratulations to this family of 4, which you’ll be seeing more of and we follow Kaira through her first year!
Also, an enormous THANK YOU! to my colleague Christy for photographing Kaira in our studio in my absence (Kaira decided to come fashionably late to this party!). I love the photos she captured of this little sweetheart.
Laura made this adorable hat, it was the hat that Kaira came home from the hospital in!

December 29, 2012I first met Owyn’s mom last year at the Canada Photo Convention, and a mutual friend gifted her a newborn session with me. It was great catching up with Ashley again, and snuggling with little Owyn. Ashley is a lovely human being, and motherhood looks amazing on her. She is also a gifted photographer out of Red Deer: Ashley Jackson Photo. <insert joke about Owyn being the most photographed kid ever because her mom is a photographer>. You know you were all thinking it.

December 28, 2012Quite a few new babies joined us in studio just before the holidays! Owen marks the 5th time we’ve had the pleasure of photographing Amanda & Foster in their young lives, and we’re looking forward to more family photos in the spring.

December 25, 2012Merry Christmas everyone! We hope that everyone is having a wonderful day with their loved ones today. Our presents are opened, and we’re looking forward to hosting our first Christmas dinner tonight! We wanted to share a beautiful baby girl with you today – it seems appropriate to post today about a new baby.
I’ve enjoyed working with this beautiful family, and also little Caris’ cousins. It’s really special to see an extended family growing.
Within 10 minutes of meeting these two, you get a sense of what their personalities are like, and that they are a perfect match for each other. With parents like these, it’s going to be hard for Caris not to have a fantastic sense of humour.

October 23, 2012This cutie pie visited the studio recently, and his mom and dad are so happy he’s here!
A bit of info for those expecting and planning newborn photos: while the ‘ideal’ time for newborn photos is around 7-10 days, they can be done later with great results. Zac was already 2 weeks old when he came to the studio for his newborn photos and slept like a dream. So just because you haven’t planned the photos immediately after your child’s arrival, you don’t have to miss out!

This darling girl came to visit me in the studio last week! She gave me a bit of a run for my money getting her to sleep, but once she conked out she was so peaceful. Thanks to mom and dad for bringing her into the studio!
