We have exciting news that we’ve been dying to share. We finally got the results for the WPPI album competition we entered (for those of you who don’t know, WPPI is Wedding and Portrait Photographers International). The WPPI convention is like the Oscars of photography. We didn’t get a chance to go to the convention this year, but were so happy to photograph David and Laura’s wedding!

Our album of Shanna and Brett moved on to the final round of judging in Vegas at the WPPI convetion on the Valentine’s Day weekend and…we received an Accolade of Excellence!! We are so very excited!! Our album was judged live with some of the most amazing wedding albums in the world.  There were nearly 200 entries into the album competition.

Many of you have seen the album in person, it is one of the samples we have on display in our gallery. Thank you so much to Brett and Shanna for being such an amazing couple and sharing their wedding with us, and to Christy Wells, our awesome assistant who contributed many images to the album.

It was our first time entering the WPPI competition, next year we’ll be entering the print competition as well, and maybe even going to Vegas!
