Payton is a beautiful sweet girl, but definitely an independent 1 year old! She was happy to roam around the studio. I’m looking forward to another shoot with her once spring arrives in Edmonton!

December 25, 2012Merry Christmas everyone! We hope that everyone is having a wonderful day with their loved ones today. Our presents are opened, and we’re looking forward to hosting our first Christmas dinner tonight! We wanted to share a beautiful baby girl with you today – it seems appropriate to post today about a new baby.
I’ve enjoyed working with this beautiful family, and also little Caris’ cousins. It’s really special to see an extended family growing.
Within 10 minutes of meeting these two, you get a sense of what their personalities are like, and that they are a perfect match for each other. With parents like these, it’s going to be hard for Caris not to have a fantastic sense of humour.
Adoption Celebration – Edmonton Portrait Studio
November 10, 2012Last weekend we were delighted to host the Shandro Photo Adoption Celelbration, with Edie of Adoption by Choice, and Stacey of JoyFoley Weddings. We had 17 families in our studio (some who had adopted children, and some who haven’t) and raised over $600 for Adoption By Choice! Stacey prepared a beautiful sweets table for the kids to enjoy, and the families got a chance to meet and mingle as well as having their photos taken.
We had such a great time, and want to thank everyone who came out! Here’s just a peek at a few of our families who participated, and the beautiful table that Stacey created.

Meet Julia, (and her man Richard, and sweet puppy Charlie). Julia is the creative mind/owner of Once Upon Your Day event planning, and one of my BFFs =) Julia and I met a few years ago and bonded over some free passes to the movie Bridesmaids (how appropriate), we share a mutual love of trashy TV and I’ve grown to love Charlie. Now we have a goal – we want to work together on a wedding! Neha, Sumit & Parth – Vancouver Family Photography
May 28, 2012We met Neha & Sumit a few years ago when they were celebrating their wedding. We were delighted when Neha emailed and said they were expecting a new addition to the family, and wanted family photos in Vancouver! We were happy to travel to visit with them, it was great to catch up and meet little Parth. As it happens, Neha’s brothers were visiting so it was perfect timing!
Spring happens a little earlier in Vancouver than it does in Edmonton – these were taken back in April when Edmonton was still under a dusting of snow. We liked being there in the spring, and we’ve got a special announcement coming up for April/May 2013 so watch the blog for that shortly. Maybe even today if I’m really productive

November 1, 2011Oh man. I love this little guy! Sometimes described as ‘sweet misery’ by his mom, he is the apple of his parents’ eyes. We couldn’t be happier for our friends (and wedding couple) Anna & Dave on welcoming this little man into their life.
