Little Uvan was welcomed into a beautiful warm family. He’s an amazingly happy and well-behaved little guy, and his parents love him to pieces. Happy half-year Uvan!

April 22, 2012Another beautiful newborn baby is gracing the blog this week! Either I’ve gotten much better at this, or the babies I’ve worked with lately have been incredible, because this little sweetheart was done her whole shoot in under an hour. I could have easily spent another hour playing with her! She was the first to be photographed in a couple of my new props from the states, and an awesome monkeywood bowl that I picked up on travels in Hawaii.

April 7, 2012Annemarie (mama to these beautiful boys) and I attended high school together, and when she contacted me about photos after Nils was welcomed into their family I was happy to have her into the studio. Michael captured these precious photos of Nils (2 months) and Erik (3 years) – what adorable little brothers!
On another note, Annemarie’s husband is one of the owners of The Common, a gastropub which recently moved to a new location downtown. We’re looking forward to eating there soon!

June 7, 2011We have a new member of the family! Â Michael’s sister’s family welcomed new baby Isabella just a few weeks ago. Â They’re going to be moving to BC shortly and we’re really really going to miss them.
Their home was the perfect spot for maternity photos before Isabella’s arrival.
I’m a little biased, but I think I have the cutest nieces and nephews in the whole world.

October 29, 2009This little cutie was an absolute joy to photograph. He was really chilled out beneath the warmth of our studio lights! In his short 6 weeks on this earth he’s captured so many hearts, especially his Mommy’s & Daddy’s. And yes, they’re the reason why he’s so cute.

July 26, 2009Why is baby Lucas so adorable? Just look at his parents! This beautiful boy arrived on Canada Day with much anticipation from the whole family. We are so happy to have a new nephew.

Normally we don’t put pictures of people’s bums on our website (they don’t tend to show up at many weddings!), but I love this little bum. I just want to squeeze it! Baby bums, toes, and hands are so precious.

Introducing Shandro Kids

It’s here, it’s here! The big announcement! We are excited and proud today to launch Shandro Kids, an itsy-bitsy division of Shandro Photo. Shandro Kids is a project that began with the arrival of our beautiful son, and a desire to explore different kinds of photography.
Shando Kids, simply put, is fun, real photography of everything to do with kids: maternity, newborns, babies, toddlers, young kids, and families containing any of those little people!
All of the details are on our brand-spankin’ new website www.shandrokids.com.
 
We LOVE giveaways, and rewarding our clients, so we have a few really awesome things to announce with the launch of Shandro Kids!
Cool thing #1: 5% of all Shandro Kids profits in our first year will be donated to the Stollery Children’s Hospital. We were blessed with a beautiful and healthy boy, and we want to do our part for those who need a little extra help.
Cool thing #2: The first 5 clients to book portrait sessions will each get a free session, and be entered to win a gallery-wrapped canvas from their session.
Cool thing #3: May is the 5th month, and the month of Mother’s Day. To celebrate Moms, every client who books a portrait session in May will receive 5% off of their session and all products they purchase. (The session can be in any month, only the booking has to be made in May).
