April 5, 2013We’ve had the great pleasure of getting to know Ann over the last few years – she is the creative mind and amazing baker behind Style Cakes. She has done amazing cakes for our family, and makes beautiful wedding cakes.
She recently celebrated her 10 year anniversary with her husband, and came into the studio along with their 2 sons for an updated family session. Happy anniversary guys!

November 18, 2012Just before we left for Hawaii we squeezed in a family portrait shoot with the Stead family! They wanted to have photos for their daughter’s first birthday. Their son was really interested in keeping his sister happy and was a great help during the session. This was a really fun session and we loved working with this family.

The studio is closed as we’re spending some much needed family time in Maui, but I brought a teensy bit of work with me (trust me, it took a lot of restraint not to bring our whole office with us!), so I’ll be blogging a couple of things while we’re gone. To all of you in Edmonton, try not to picture where I’m blogging this from, it’ll just make you depressed.
When things were a bit warmer in Edmonton, Michael went out with our good friends the Aromins to update their family photos – it’s crazy to see how much the kids are growing! Bennett was just a newborn at our wedding…it’s amazing how time flies.
Adoption Celebration – Edmonton Portrait Studio
November 10, 2012Last weekend we were delighted to host the Shandro Photo Adoption Celelbration, with Edie of Adoption by Choice, and Stacey of JoyFoley Weddings. We had 17 families in our studio (some who had adopted children, and some who haven’t) and raised over $600 for Adoption By Choice! Stacey prepared a beautiful sweets table for the kids to enjoy, and the families got a chance to meet and mingle as well as having their photos taken.
We had such a great time, and want to thank everyone who came out! Here’s just a peek at a few of our families who participated, and the beautiful table that Stacey created.
Kennedy – 1 year baby portraits
October 29, 2012This darling girl just turned 1! She is the apple of her mommy and daddy’s eye, and she’s growing into such a little lady. Happy birthday Kennedy!
This is one of my favourites from the shoot – Kennedy had a little cry at some point (as kids are known to do) and Mom was there. Such a sweet moment between the two of them.

October 26, 2012I guess you can probably tell how behind in blogging we are by the amount of leaves on the trees in these photos…although conditions in Edmonton change pretty fast. October 17, 2012The Parker family were the lucky winners of a package that we donated to Fashion With Compassion last year. Along with a portrait session and print from us, they also received dinner and drinks at Zaika Bistro, a style session with L2 Style, and hair and makeup by Sunita Sumaru. This was such a fun session, and everyone looked fabulous. Like us, they operate a family business and that keeps them very busy, so capturing memories of their kids is really important to them.
