When we usually photography a Sikh wedding the ceremony and reception held on different days. Parveen & Jason chose to do their ceremony and reception on the same day and while it made for a packed and busy day, it meant that the party never had to stop.

I can’t get over how stunning Parveen is.  I’d love for us to take credit for all of the gorgeous photos of her but I don’t know if it’s possible to take an unflattering photo of her.  She and Jason are such a sweet couple and everyone had an amazing time at the wedding.

Thanks to our fab second shoot Bruce!

This wedding was all about family from the start. Parveen’s cousins from Toronto and best friend did hair and makeup for her and the family.

Parveen and Jason hadn’t had a chance to eat all day until we started their couples’ pictures.  What better way to start off than with some Asti?

Cancun wedding photographer edmonton destination

I can’t overstate what a fun and warm-hearted time we had with Sonia, Harpal, and their families during their wedding in Cancun. Their whole wedding was a complete blast. The resort was absolutely buzzing with activity, and the feedback from all of the guests was overwhelmingly positive. Around 150 guests accompanied Sonia & Harpal to the Moon Palace Resport in Cancun, Mexico. That’s HUGE for a destination wedding, but not too big for a Sikh wedding.

Sonia & Harpal came over to the studio tonight to view their wedding album and I’m so excited to share this blog post with all of you. It was definitely a highlight of our 2012 season.

Special thanks go out to the amazing vendors from Toronto who also traveled down to Cancun for the wedding, it was an absolute pleasure working with all of them!

I was there when Shaira & Aly were engaged among family and friends, and they traveled from Toronto for their engagement session this spring.  They got to experience first hand my style of photography which I’m increasingly thinking of as ‘ooh, shiny!’  We had something else in mind for the shoot but construction completely changed my plans. So I wandered around looking for new and exciting shooting opportunities and literally squealed when I found a couple of cool locations. It just goes to show that no matter how much you may want to plan for a shoot, photographers have to be adaptable, the conditions may not be what you expect!

Shaira paid me a great compliment in an email, and told me something that I’ve since added to our ‘about us’ section.  She said that she loves the way we ‘play with nature’. I LOVE that sentiment, because it’s exactly what we like to do, and I couldn’t have put it better myself.

Shaira & Aly – a pleasure as always. See you for your wedding in July!
