Cera and Andrew are quirky, fun, and definitely in love. Just our kind of couple! They started with a few pictures outside in the vibrant fall colours. It was raining, but that didn’t phase either one of them. Michael is really looking forward to their wedding next year.
Gary and Manjit were really excited to have Michael shoot their engagement session – they wanted a ‘Desi Farm Theme’ to their photo shoot, and Gary and his friend scouted out the perfect farm. We wish them all the best for their marriage!
Teri & Chris are a really sweet couple, and they cared a lot about their engagement photos, choosing clothing that represented themselves and that would pop in the photographs. I can’t wait for their wedding next year!
The rain threatened to derail this engagement session, and I’ll admit that by the time I got to my car by glasses were fogged up and my clothes were pretty damp, but it was all worth it. I can’t wait for Jacquie & Joe’s backyard ceremony this fall!
I’m really looking forward to Bobbi Jo & Mike’s wedding at the Northern Bear Golf Club later this summer! I spent a beautiful summer evening with them, and loved photographing them. It’s always fun reconnecting with couples months after they book me for their wedding.

People sometimes ask us how we get such vibrant colour in our photos. It’s a little bit to do with our gear, a bit to do with our processing, but mostly due to mother nature – she gives us such breathtaking backgrounds to work with!
Nav & Raj are tying the knot on one of the most in-demand weekends this year – August long weekend. They were really fun to work with, they look amazing, and Michael can’t wait for their wedding!
I think we almost giggled more than I took photos when I did Shelby & John’s engagement session. The two of them (plus adorable dog Sadie!) were the right combo for a really really fun evening. It’s an understatement to say I’m excited for their wedding next year!
I clicked with Farzana & Aly right away. We had a great conference call, they wanted to snuggle my little ones when they came over, and we bonded over bug spray during their engagement session. I’m looking forward to their wedding coming up at the end of the month!
And, Farzana is a girl after my own heart (ie, a fellow shorty). She’s so cute!!
We’ve been part of a long journey with Deepak & Poonam, from his proposal scavenger hunt, to their engagement party this year, and now a late-night summer portrait session. Their wedding next year will be amazing! I know that we have reached a significant point in our professional relationship because the last time they came over I was in my pjs and I didn’t mind them seeing me. We love these two! Holly & Ben are getting married this weekend! Michael will be helping them celebrate in style. He is looking forward to working with the fabulous wedding planner Jennifer Bergman.
We’re so lucky to live in such a beautiful city with its extensive river valley. Â These engagement photos are particularly special for Holly & Ben due to some recent news in their life. Â Ben has accepted an excellent job in the states, and unfortunately he and Holly will have to live apart for a time. Â Luckily, they will have these beautiful pictures to look at, hopefully they will make the distance a bit easier to bear.
