Sherise & Jon – Winter Woodland Wedding in Edmonton – Wedding Photographers

Sherise phoned one night, just before we were going off on another Shandro travel adventure. We’d talked over email a bit, but hadn’t connected to meet. Within 5 minutes of picking up the phone her wedding was booked, and we were looking forward to meeting in a couple of months! Sherise knew what she wanted, and we’re so thrilled that what she wanted was to work with us. When I finally sat down to meet with her and Jon, I liked them instantly, and could see such an amazing connection between them. Sherise is a bubbly person, but there is an extra twinkle in her eye when Jon is around.

Their whole wedding day was perfect. The weather was beautiful despite a dump of late March snow, the ceremony at reception at Countryside Golf Course (where Jon works) was elegant and whimsical, a beautiful woodland theme pulled everything together. The guests had an amazing time. As a wedding planner, we knew Sherise would have a beautifully detailed wedding.

Angela & Jaye – St. Albert Maternity Photos

I had the pleasure of meeting Angela & Jaye at Bobbi Jo & Mike’s wedding last summer, and was so excited to hear that they were expecting! I visited their home in St. Albert to commemorate this wonderful stage in their life. It has been a long journey for these two, and it is very clear that this baby is being welcomed into an incredibly warm and loving family.

Angela & Jaye were awesome to work with and I love that they wanted to incorporate special gifts from friends and family into their shoot.

Kemi & Warren – Edmonton Maternity Photos

We’ve known Kemi and Warren for a few years, and the news of their pregnancy was music to our ears! Kemi always had a special place in her heart for our son Andrew, and we can’t wait to meet her own little bundle. These two are going to make amazing parents. Dasee Floral Boutique Inspiration Shoot

We had the pleasure of working with a talented team of vendors for an inspiration shoot designed by Cory Christopher, co-owner of Dasee Floral Boutique.

From Cory:

“As an Alberta farm boy experiencing the seasons is so integral to my growth as a designer and artist – developing my mindfulness and appreciation for each season and its breathtaking beauty. I fondly remember playing in the spring run off (mud and all), running through the green grass in my bare feet, scooping up the biggest pile of oak leaves my arms could handle and oh course making the most whimsical snow angels and skating on the backyard rink. The Shandros

During a recent photoshoot one of our returning clients mentioned that she hadn’t seen what Evelyn looks like for a while, and I realized that I haven’t posted any family photos on our blog in a long time. I post quite a few of our family on Facebook, and usually try to keep work and family life fairly separate, but I’m guessing some of you wouldn’t mind seeing pictures of a couple of cute kids.

Evelyn is almost 2, and we just signed Andrew up for kindergarten. The time is FLYING by. They are both pretty amazing human beings.

Here are a few photos from our recent trip to Maui in November. I’m also posting these to show that we’re just like everyone else – we own a point and shoot camera! We took a real break from shooting and focused on fun beach family time instead of photography.

We went to the beach just about every day for 3 weeks. The kids absolutely loved it! Our condo was just a short walk across the street from the beach.

We took a snorkel trip with the Pacific Whale Foundation to Molokini, we weren’t sure if the kids would want to try it but they both had a blast. I was really proud of them.

Sonia & Harpal – Cancun Engagement Session

We are dying to share photos with you from Sonia & Harpal’s wedding, for now you get to enjoy their engagement session! As soon as we arrived at the Moon Palace resort our wheels were turning for locations and ideas. For Sonia & Harpal’s engagement photos we diverted a bit from the norm for destination weddings. Rather than the beach, we headed indoors to explore the incredible architecture of the remodeled resort. We could have shot all day – Sonia & Harpal are fun-loving and super cool, so their vibe really worked for this funky urban shoot.

Bobbi Jo – Rock ‘n Roll Bridal Shoot

Bobbi Jo & Mike’s wedding this summer was one of the most joyous of the year, their families and friends traveled from far and wide to celebrate with them, and they are SO in love you could feel it. Bobbi Jo wanted to wear her dress just one more time, and wanted to show her Rock and Roll side with a new haircut and a styled shoot by Stacey of JoyFoley Weddings & Styling and Shandro Photo. Special thanks to Stacey’s husband Donnie for allowing us to use his bike during the shoot and faBLOOMosity for the gorgeous custom floral headpiece.

Baby Owyn – Edmonton Newborn Photographer

I first met Owyn’s mom last year at the Canada Photo Convention, and a mutual friend gifted her a newborn session with me. It was great catching up with Ashley again, and snuggling with little Owyn. Ashley is a lovely human being, and motherhood looks amazing on her. She is also a gifted photographer out of Red Deer: Ashley Jackson Photo. <insert joke about Owyn being the most photographed kid ever because her mom is a photographer>. You know you were all thinking it.
